Rain Aside... getting ready for Summer Fairs

Now let me say first of all I don't do many fairs ... and those I do tend to be very local and usually connected with friends. However I have a few coming up and I have been stocktaking some of my best sellers ...
SO this week I have been doing a mouse'y stock take .. and making some more as they are very popular! You can see my mice on Folksy and on Etsy

And also getting lots of brooches ready - at the moment I don't really sell these online as I need to hold some over for this Summer's fairs - but if you spot something here you fancy message me . They are £5 plus £2 P&P .

I have a fair booked which will have a lot of horse'y types so lucky I got this recently ! I'll be doing something with this and some other horse'y stuff but probably not until after half term.

.... and of course I've been doing my Macmillen Coffee Morning/Open House/Autumn sale for a couple of years now ... this was last Autumn's.... there was A LOT of cake , and proceeds from that, a raffle and 10% of my taking from sales came to about £340

I MUST book in again for this Autumn's Macmillan Coffee Morning ... SUCH FUN! and something in which-  along with many people - I have a close link.

Out with the 'Old' in with the New 'Old' ( by which in mean new vintage fabric goodies..)

It's that time of year again! Bye Bye 2012... HELLO 2013 !

I'm also going to relaunch my website to be the hub for my custom orders and a place to showcase all my vintage fabric.

This means I have to clear a little out of my existing shops - so have a look in my sale sections - at the moment there are about 50 items on sale!

Items like these cushions covers for only £10 on Etsy Etsy Sale Section

And even a few mice like this one in Folksy ( plus LOADS of other things ) Folksy Sale
There's a big variety to choose from : bags, mice, cats, birds, aprons, bunting, purses, brooches, cushions, and some Christmas items too :)

Hope to see you there !

Christmas ... IN JULY !

Ok I know our Summer weather has been dreadful but making Christmas stockings ? ...REALLY ?

However if you craft to make a living ( well sort of...!) then you won't be alone. Lots of crafters I know are starting to think about Xmas and if you want to stand a chance of being featured in the Nov/Dec editions of magazines then they are looking for items NOW!

So I'm getting busy - here's some of my new Xmas stockings in a luscious vintage ruby red sateen ( 50s/ 60s) - if you like 'em let me know !

All together now..."Jingle bells, jingle bells...."

AudreysCat at Prema Art Centre, Uley, Glos

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted via Facebook by the super folks at Prema Art Centre https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002137008477 asking if I'd like to have a few of my item offered for sale in their display unit. As you can imagine I was delighted to have my bags, and my Retro ReBorn animals included in their colourful Retro themed display along with these other beautiful items from talented makers.

It's a great Art Centre with a diverse offerings of craft, crafting/arts groups and performances on offer. I have attended a fused glass course, my OH has been on a singing course and been to a few gigs there all great!. In a fabulous location and building, well worth checking out!
