Macmillan Sept Coffee morning and WittyDawn Autumn Sale

Well another Macmillan coffee morning has come and gone !

Thanks too all my friends and customers who supported this event- my goodness what a lot of cake was consumed.

As usual the coffee morning coincided with my Autumn WittyDawn Sale and I donated 10% of my sales to the final donation amount.

THE FINAL AMOUNT RAISED WAS JUST OVER £227 !!!!

EDIT: due to a late donation the final total went up to £253.57  !!!!


This is a regular yearly event for WittyDawn - in it's 4th year now.  Macmillan is a charity we as a family have supported for many years via monthly donations too.

However this event also  gives me a chance to get all my stock out and review it for the Xmas period , it MAKES me tidy my studio and not least I get to catch up with lots of people and make a few new friends too.

My next event will be VINTAGE HEAVEN, at the Organic Farm Shop , Burford Road, Cirencester on Sat 12th November. Free entry, teas and raffle proceeds all to Paternoster School in Cirencester and JDRF - the type 1 diabetes charity, improving lives until they find the cure. They fund research to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes. Lots or really excellent quality genuine vintage and eco friendly gilts and collectables from a super group of vendors.

It's that MacMillan Coffee morning time of year again !

It's that MacMillan Coffee morning time of year again !

I hope that my Cirencester buddies will call in on me - it's becoming a regular Autumn Event for me now . I also set out ALL my WittyDawn items so you can start you Xmas shopping nice and early - as usual 10% of sales profits will be donated to Macmillan.

Dates:
Friday 26th Sept - 12pm to 5pm
Mon 29th Sept to Fri 3rd Oct 2pm to 4pm

Once again I have my lovely friends Laura and Carol setting up a display cabinet of vintage jewellery, handbags etc This was what they had at last year's event  !

I also have the fabulous Sheila of SheUnique attending no doubt with her usual array of vintage delights to tempt me....

I hope you come and support us - due to a recent loss we know how valuable MacMillan are in supporting so many people on their route along the Cancer pathway

What fun! at Paternoster School , Cirencester

Just a quick post !

I had a lovely time at Paternoster School Spring Fair, chatty customers, delightful children, excellent cream tea and fabulous fiddle playing.

Jolly hot though! glad I had my gazebo to sit under.

I just heard that the school raised £1000 which is amazing - all the helpers worked so hard and were so welcoming, and I was very pleased I had been asked have a stall.

All in all a lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon :)

Rain Aside... getting ready for Summer Fairs

Now let me say first of all I don't do many fairs ... and those I do tend to be very local and usually connected with friends. However I have a few coming up and I have been stocktaking some of my best sellers ...

   SO this week I have been doing a mouse'y stock take .. and making some more as they are very popular! You can see my mice on Folksy and on Etsy

And also getting lots of brooches ready - at the moment I don't really sell these online as I need to hold some over for this Summer's fairs - but if you spot something here you fancy message me . They are £5 plus £2 P&P . 

I have a fair booked which will have a lot of horse'y types so lucky I got this recently ! I'll be doing something with this and some other horse'y stuff but probably not until after half term.


.... and of course I've been doing my Macmillen Coffee Morning/Open House/Autumn sale for a couple of years now ... this was last Autumn's.... there was A LOT of cake , and proceeds from that, a raffle and 10% of my taking from sales came to about £340

I MUST book in again for this Autumn's Macmillan Coffee Morning ... SUCH FUN! and something in which-  along with many people - I have a close link.

Want to come for coffee ! .. and cake... lots and lots of cake....

On the Macmillan Coffee morning -

• there will be Coffee, Tea and cake
• you can enter an Audreyscat and homemade yummies raffle
• all attendees will be entered into a FREE raffle to win some AudreyCat bunting
• all my AudreysCat stock will be displayed and I will donate 10% of all of my sales and paind for commissions to Macmillan
• I have a number of local creatives displaying some of their items and Laura will be there with some of her vintage jewellery and other pretties
• small selection of vintage cake stands and crockery will be on sale

On the Autumn Open house the following week all my stock will remain available for sale and I will be open in the afternoons for tea , cake and chatting - no need to buy just pop in to say hi ! - although it you DO buy 10% of sales and paid for commission will also be going to Macmillan.

AN UPDATE: the final total including, donations, raffle money and 10% from my sales and also from sales of Laura and Carol's Vintage Emphemera was .... £341.50 ... AMAZING thanks to everyone who came :) 

2012 Autumn Open House Event !

Once again I'm having my Autumn Open House event - this year I'm donating 10% of offline sales to MacMillan cancer ( I did the same for my stall at a friend's coffee morning last Friday) . It's a good opportunity to get my stock out, take some more photos and drink tea with my friends :) ! ( and eat cake... obviously once I've had time to bake some that is...! )
